Attach the camera on the tripod and make sure everything is secure. Keeping the camera still is crucial to HDR photography.
Attach your cable release (optional).
If you’re using a cable release, attach it to your camera at this stage.
Set the camera to manual and get the normal exposure.
Set the camera to manual and find the middle exposure for the aperture that you want to use (use the light meter in the camera to do this). If you’re unsure how to find the correct exposure check out our manual settings tutorial.
Enable bracketing and set number of frames and EV steps.
Find the bracketing mode on the camera and then set the number of frames (steps) and how large you want each step to be.
One stop per step and three steps in total is usually a good starting point.
