Wow. Wow. Just... Wow. When I pressed the button 32 days ago, I had no idea quite how much support there would be for our little photography gadget. It's absolutely incredible.
In 32 days, 898 different people purchased 943 Triggertraps, 864 (91.6%) of which were Triggertrap devices, and 79 (8.4%) were Triggertrap DIY kits.
In addition, people chose to receive 18 postcards, 18 T-shirts, 30 books, one SLR camera and a 50mm f/1.8 lens as rewards.
All of this means that I now have to place an order for more than 10,000 ceramic caps, over 29,000 resistors, and more than 90,000 other components, ship them all off to a factory to be assembled into a device that will make photography more fun, more creative, and more geeky than ever before.
Asking the lovely people of Kickstarter for $25,000 and receiving more than three times that (309%, to be precise) is a feeling I cannot put into words. It proves that the Kickstarter crowd really believe in the product.
There's a long way to go yet, but I'm confident we'll get there, and I'll be working very very hard over the next few weeks to ensure that you'll all get your Triggertraps as quickly as possible.
In addition to the initial Kickstarter batch, we'll be ordering a couple of hundred extra, so if you still want one, you can get your very own Triggertrap over in the shop.
