Triggertrap Mobile 4.1: All new, all shiny, still red.

The holidays are a time for giving, and boy have we got a treat for you. Our iOS Development Team have been working their little socks off to bring you one of our most exciting Triggertrap Mobile updates, right in time for Christmas!

Our developers have been beavering away, completely rewriting the core of the Triggertrap Mobile app. But not only have they done that, they've also implemented our most requested feature. Drum roll please... Say hello to Night Mode! That's right, the astrophotographers among you no longer have to worry about messing with your night vision when you are out in the field. The new darkness-friendly colour scheme is also perfect for use in the studio if you are shooting high speed and need to black out the room.

Lights go on, lights go off, lights go on, lights go off...

Lights go on, lights go off, lights go on, lights go off...

But wait, there's more!

If you have a Pebble smartwatch or Apple Watch you can now remotely trigger your camera using almost every triggering mode*. Using Triggertrap Wearables allows you to get perfect long exposures without the slightest nudge of your camera. You can even start a sensor mode from a distance to avoid premature triggering.

*Except Press and Hold, and Quick Release modes.

One last thing...

As a last handy little feature, the ND Calculator is now baked into Timed Release mode. This is great as it completely avoids having to jump back and forth between them, and risk forgetting the shutter speed you calculated previously. In Timed Release mode, all you need to do is tap the ND filter icon (the split circle), and enter your base shutter speed and your neutral density filter strength. Simply tap to automatically put that value into Timed Release.

Tap the ND icon in the timed release mode and the calculator opens. Once you've set your values and hit ok, it pulls the settings back into the Timed Release mode. Magic.

What are you waiting for? The Triggertrap Mobile 4.1 update is available now from the iOS app store for devices running iOS 7.0 and above.
