This is a quick post to introduce myself as the newest member of the Triggertrap team. I'll be working with Haje and Matt to help you get the most out of the Triggertrap devices. I'll be doing lots of things, including helping demonstrate and highlighting interesting and exciting ways to experiment with all the Triggertrap kit. With a bit of luck, I'll be able to come up with some cool projects and ideas that you may not have thought of yourself, and I'll also be helping you figure out solutions to any problems that arise as we ship these contraptions out and people start using them with a wide range of camera equipment.
So... Who am I? I'm a photographer and creative producer based in Sydney, Australia, working mainly within theatre and live performance. In my own work, I like simple photos that show quiet, hidden moments and places. My favourite photo (below) is one I happened upon by accident, driving down the wrong road after sleeping in my car on a roadtrip.
I'm also a bit of a geek, with a very strong interest in the intersection of technology and art, and how digital media affects human psychology and society. I'm intrigued by people using the latest technology in strange and original ways.
Joining Triggertrap at this stage, after the products are all designed and built and on their way to you guys, means that (for a little while at least) I will be discovering the products along with everyone else. I plan to share some of that process with you, as well as helping you deal with any issues that arise along the way of your own experience with Triggertrap (hopefully none!).
You'll see me pop up in the Triggertrap Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, and I'll be helping with any support requests you send to us as well.
Apart from all that, you can find me on the internet at www.sometimesnotalways.com.
